Made in Canada eh! .. :)
While SGC2 is about selling a tangabile product, it's really aimed at providing products that are either hand made or made in Canada... You will see product on this site which is not hand made, nor is it made in Canada, such products are from our physical store front inventory... And while we tried our very best to showcase "made in Canada" in Serenity (our physical store front) it was a challenge to say the least....
We now wish try again... :) this time either making the product ourselves or by sharing products made by others... And while, the goal is to use made in Canada parts for our products and hope those we share for will do the same, we know it will not always be possible. However, a little, is better then none, and like a pebble cast in the lake, we hope to create a ripple affect.
Why are we striving for such "Canadianism"? :) We have always felt it better for the economy, better for job creation and better for our health to make and buy Canadian... It is wonderful to have access to the whole world for our goods and it is equally wonderful to help others create better lives for themselves, but not if it comes with large costs, such as job loss and negative environmental impacts.
And, recently while preparing to go on our vacation to the UK, trying to find small gifts to bring with us that were made in Canada was almost impossible.... :( It just seems silly to bring gifts that aren't made where you are coming from to another country ? Also equally silly to take home gifts that aren't made in the country you are visiting... !!
